Prada Group’s chief executive officer, Gianfranco D’Attis, will leave the Italian luxury house at the end of June, the company announced on Sunday. According to WWD, which first broke the story, his departure stems from strategic disagreements between D’Attis and top leadership — a move that comes less than two years into his tenure.
D’Attis was notably absent at Prada’s Spring/Summer 2026 men’s show in Milan on Sunday. When asked for comment, Prada confirmed the parting was by mutual agreement, effective June 30.
Prada Group’s CEO Andrea Guerra will take on the role of Prada brand CEO on an interim basis, the company told Reuters.
The news follows a strong first quarter for the group overall. Prada Group sales rose 13% to €1.34 billion, driven by surging demand at sister brand Miu Miu, where revenues soared 60% at constant exchange rates to €377 million, with growth seen across all categories and geographies.
Meanwhile, retail sales at the Prada label remained relatively flat at €827 million, compared with €826 million a year earlier, underscoring the need to navigate diverging trajectories across its portfolio.
As Prada enters this next chapter, the executive reshuffle signals a critical moment for one of luxury fashion’s most celebrated houses, one poised between stable heritage and high-growth momentum.
