This July, Indian couture will meet global high jewellery standards as Sabyasachi Mukherjee unveils his exclusive fine jewellery collections at Harrods, London’s most iconic luxury department store. Set in the Penthouse Suite of Harrods from July 21 to 27, 2025, the showcase marks a watershed moment for Indian design on the world stage.
“I am honoured to present Sabyasachi High Jewellery at Harrods in London, the epicentre of taste and sophistication, which showcases the pinnacle of the world's finery. This residency will bring the best of Indian craftsmanship and design to the unparalleled, global clients of Harrods. Together we will delight the senses of the world's most discerning and uncompromising customers," says Sabyasachi.
This is more than a trunk show—it is a cultural and creative statement. For the first time, an Indian high jewellery house will hold a dedicated showcase at Harrods, signalling a definitive shift in how global luxury perceives India’s design vocabulary.
Two collections will be unveiled:
Bengal Royale evokes the world of royalty, theatre, and architecture—featuring tourmalines, emeralds, and enamel work married with traditional Indian techniques.
Bengal Byzantine Broadway blends the theatrical with the sacred, fusing Byzantine opulence with the stylized glamour of vintage Hollywood and Bengali stagecraft.
Both are rooted in the designer’s origins and long-standing muse, Calcutta, and serve as an ode to Bengal’s rich design traditions, told through the lens of rare craftsmanship and a cinematic, global aesthetic.
This showcase is not just about a designer, it’s about India’s ascendance in the world of high luxury. Sabyasachi’s move into Harrods is symbolic of a broader shift: Indian brands now sit not at the periphery, but at the centre of global luxury conversations.
In recent years, Sabyasachi has quietly but strategically expanded his footprint, from flagship stores in Mumbai, Delhi, and New York, to coveted collaborations with Tiffany, H&M, and Christian Louboutin. His foray into high jewellery has been marked by discretion, detail, and a reverence for tradition, qualities that now find a global platform at Harrods.
